Labour hire providers must obtain a license to operate legally in South Australia. This applies to businesses that supply labor to other organisations on a temporary basis. To obtain a license, labour hire providers need to submit an application to the South Australian Labour Hire Licensing Authority. The application process involves demonstrating compliance with relevant legislation, including labour laws and workplace safety standards. Once licensed, labour hire providers must adhere to strict compliance obligations, including maintaining accurate records of workers, ensuring fair wages and working conditions, and complying with occupational health and safety regulations.
